About Digital Cove

Digital Cove provides practical digital products, AI-powered assistants, business tools, automation systems and software for small businesses and online sellers. Some products may connect to third-party services, including AI platforms, payment providers, booking platforms, Google services and other business tools.

This Privacy Policy explains how Digital Cove collects, uses, stores and shares personal data when you visit our websites, purchase or use our products, create a Digital Cove account, connect a supported third-party service, or use a Digital Cove-powered assistant or system.

Information We Collect

Depending on the product or service you use, we may collect:

AI Assistants and Persistent Business Profiles

Some Digital Cove products are AI-powered assistants, including custom GPTs or similar tools. These assistants may use a Digital Cove business profile so that information you choose to save can be reused in later sessions.

A saved business profile may include information such as:

We use this information to personalise the assistant, reduce repeated onboarding questions and provide more relevant business support. The assistant should only save information you provide or clearly confirm; it should not invent business profile information.

Conversations you have directly with a third-party AI platform, such as ChatGPT, are also subject to that platform's own privacy terms. Digital Cove only receives information sent to Digital Cove through the specific integrations or actions used by the product.

Connected Services and OAuth

If you connect a supported third-party account, we may use OAuth or a similar secure authorisation method. We only request permissions needed for the features you choose to use.

Depending on the connected service, we may process:

We do not use connected-account data for unrelated purposes. Where a product can publish or change information on an external platform, it will only do so when that capability is provided and you have authorised the relevant action.

Google Business Profile

Some Digital Cove services may connect to Google Business Profile. Where you authorise this connection, we may access your Google account email address, business location information and OAuth tokens, together with other information required for the features you choose to use.

Google data is used only to provide the Google-related functionality you authorise, such as displaying business information, preparing or managing content, or performing approved account actions where that functionality is available.

How We Use Information

We use personal data where necessary to:

Legal Bases

Where UK or European data protection law applies, we process personal data on one or more lawful bases, including performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and improving our services, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where consent is required or appropriate. You can withdraw consent for optional connected services by disconnecting them, although this does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Digital Cove may receive payment status, customer contact details, transaction identifiers and other information needed to confirm a purchase, manage access, handle refunds or disputes and meet accounting obligations. Digital Cove does not store your full card details.

Data Storage and Security

We use service providers including Supabase for database and application infrastructure and Vercel for hosting and deployment. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration.

Authentication secrets, OAuth tokens and similar credentials are treated as sensitive information and are stored or processed using security controls appropriate to their purpose. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Service Providers and Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We disclose information to service providers only where reasonably necessary to operate Digital Cove, process payments, provide authentication or email, host our services, deliver AI or connected-service functionality, provide support, or comply with law.

Our service providers may include:

These providers process information under their own terms and/or contractual data-protection obligations, depending on the service and relationship.

International Data Transfers

Some service providers may process data in countries outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards or recognised transfer mechanisms provided by the relevant service provider or required by applicable law.

Data Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, including providing your product access, maintaining your account or saved business profile, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and meeting tax, accounting or legal obligations.

Connected-service tokens may be deleted or revoked when you disconnect the service. Some transaction and accounting records may need to be retained after account deletion where required by law.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

To exercise a privacy right or request deletion of your Digital Cove account or saved business profile, contact us using the email below. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

AI Outputs and Automated Actions

AI-generated suggestions may be inaccurate and should be reviewed before use. Unless a product clearly states that an authenticated publishing or automation connection is enabled, Digital Cove assistants do not publish, schedule or send content to third-party accounts on your behalf. Creating a draft, image or recommendation does not mean it has been posted externally.

Children

Digital Cove business products are not intended for children. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us inappropriately, please contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Digital Cove adds new products, integrations or legal requirements. The date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last updated. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or by email where appropriate.
